Watercolor Botanical

Watercolor Botanical cover

Loose botanical watercolour — wet-on-wet blooms, granulating pigment and delicate ink linework.

Watercolor Botanical renders plants and florals as loose scientific-illustration watercolours: soft wet-on-wet colour blooms, granulating pigment settling into paper tooth, fine ink outlines over the wash and generous white paper around the subject. It's gentle, airy and reads as genuinely hand-painted.

This is a LoRA adapter, not a standalone model. Load it on top of a compatible wan 2.1 base checkpoint — it will not generate on its own.

Uses

Direct use. Stationery and packaging, editorial spot illustration, wedding and lifestyle branding, and botanical print art.

Out of scope. Bold graphic or photoreal work — the medium is soft and low-contrast by nature.

How to use

Load the adapter over your wan 2.1 checkpoint, then trigger with: watercolor botanical, wc_botanical

wc_botanical, watercolor botanical, a sprig of eucalyptus, wet-on-wet blooms, granulating green pigment, fine ink linework, white paper background

Recommended LoRA weight 0.75. 0.75 keeps the blooms delicate; higher over-saturates and loses the airy paper-forward feel.

  • Works well for — floral and plant studies; stationery and packaging art; soft lifestyle branding.
  • Not suitable for — high-contrast graphic design; photoreal rendering.

Training details

150 scans of the creator's own watercolour botanical studies on cotton paper, kept at high resolution so the granulation texture survived.

Procedure. Trained as a low-rank adapter over wan 2.1 at ranks 32 and 64, fp16, batch size 4, cosine LR with a short warmup. Captions were written by hand so the trigger words map cleanly onto the intended look.

Bias, risks and limitations

  • Colours stay muted; vivid neon prompts won't take.
  • Busy bouquets lose definition — single sprigs work best.
  • Occasionally adds faint 'label' text that is decorative only.

License & provenance

Trained on the creator's own watercolour paintings. Purchasing the commercial offer ($99.00) grants a commercial redistribution license for outputs; the personal offer ($35.00) is for non-commercial use. The adapter weights may not be resold or re-uploaded.
