Analog Film 35mm

The look of pushed 35mm colour negative — halation, grain structure and that slightly-off Kodak palette.

Analog Film 35mm emulates consumer colour-negative stock: organic grain that clumps in the shadows, gentle halation glowing around bright edges, slightly crushed blacks and the warm-but-imperfect colour science of a drugstore lab scan. It's the film-emulation adapter for people tired of clean digital renders.

This is a LoRA adapter, not a standalone model. Load it on top of a compatible wan 2.2 base checkpoint — it will not generate on its own.

Uses

Direct use. Adding period or lo-fi texture to portraits, street frames and stills; music and editorial work that wants a photochemical feel.

Out of scope. Clinical, grain-free commercial imagery — the whole point of the adapter is imperfection.

How to use

Load the adapter over your wan 2.2 checkpoint, then trigger with: 35mm film, analog_stock

analog_stock, 35mm film, couple on a train platform, halation on the windows, visible grain, faded kodak palette, slight light leak

Recommended LoRA weight 0.7. 0.7 gives a believable scan; go to 0.9 for expired-film chaos — heavier grain, stronger leaks, more colour shift.

• Works well for — portraits and street photography; period pieces (70s–90s); adding texture over otherwise-clean renders.
• Not suitable for — product or catalogue work; anything that must look modern and pristine.

Training details

300 self-scanned frames from the creator's own 35mm archive across five stocks, plus reference scans of test charts to keep grain and halation physically plausible.

Procedure. Trained as a low-rank adapter over wan 2.2 at ranks 32 and 64, fp16, batch size 4, cosine LR with a short warmup. Captions were written by hand so the trigger words map cleanly onto the intended look.

Bias, risks and limitations

• Grain can over-soften fine detail at high weight; dial back for tight crops.
• Light leaks land randomly and sometimes cover the subject — reroll or lower weight.
• Whites take on a warm cast that's hard to fully neutralise.

License & provenance

Trained on the creator's own scanned 35mm negatives. Purchasing the commercial offer ($99.00) grants a commercial redistribution license for outputs; the personal offer ($51.00) is for non-commercial use. The adapter weights may not be resold or re-uploaded.
