About this adapter
Golden Hour Portrait
Warm, low-sun portraiture — rim light, soft bokeh and honeyed skin tones straight out of the box.
Golden Hour Portrait renders the last hour of daylight: a low warm key wrapping around the subject, gentle rim light separating hair from background, and creamy out-of-focus highlights behind. It is tuned for people — it keeps facial identity stable across a session so you can shoot a consistent character in one look.
This is a LoRA adapter, not a standalone model. Load it on top of a compatible
wan 2.2base checkpoint — it will not generate on its own.

Uses
Direct use. Portrait and lifestyle imagery, character sheets, and lookbook frames that want a flattering, sun-kissed grade without a physical golden-hour window.
Out of scope. Hard midday light, clinical studio white, or high-key fashion — the warmth is baked in and resists cooling.
How to use
Load the adapter over your wan 2.2 checkpoint, then trigger with: golden hour, gh_portrait
gh_portrait, golden hour, young woman on a rooftop, backlit hair rim light, warm honey tones, shallow depth of field, 85mm bokeh
Recommended LoRA weight 0.8. Around 0.8 keeps skin natural; push to 0.95 for a heavier, more nostalgic wash but watch for orange casts on light backgrounds.
- Works well for — single-subject portraits; warm lifestyle and lookbook frames; backlit hair-light setups.
- Not suitable for — group scenes with mixed lighting; cool or neutral product shots.

Training details
220 licensed portrait stills shot at civil twilight, plus a handful of owned clips for motion. Model releases on file for every recognisable face; no scraped social imagery.
Procedure. Trained as a low-rank adapter over wan 2.2 at ranks 32 and 64, fp16, batch size 4, cosine LR with a short warmup. Captions were written by hand so the trigger words map cleanly onto the intended look.
Bias, risks and limitations
- Backgrounds can over-bloom into pure white — add "detailed background" to hold texture.
- Struggles with more than two subjects; faces past the second start to blend.
- Warm cast tints white clothing cream; specify "crisp white shirt" if that matters.
License & provenance
Trained on model-released, rights-cleared portrait stills. Purchasing the commercial offer ($159.00) grants a commercial redistribution license for outputs; the personal offer ($35.00) is for non-commercial use. The adapter weights may not be resold or re-uploaded.
