A vibrant anime/illustration base checkpoint — clean line, saturated colour and coherent characters, standalone.
Nebula Anime is a complete fine-tuned checkpoint for modern anime and illustration: crisp linework, rich saturated colour, expressive faces and coherent character bodies. It is a base model in its own right — no LoRA needed — and takes style and character LoRAs cleanly when you want to specialise it.
This is a complete, standalone checkpoint. Unlike a LoRA, it needs no separate base model — load it directly as your base and generate.

Uses
Direct use. A standalone base for anime and illustration — character art, key visuals, webtoon and cover work — and a foundation for character/style LoRAs.
Out of scope. Photoreal or documentary imagery — Nebula renders everything with an illustrative line-and-colour logic.

Portrait 832×1216 is the sweet spot for single characters. The baked VAE keeps colours punchy; if they clip, drop CFG by a point rather than swapping VAE.

- Weaknesses — photoreal scenes; muted or naturalistic colour.

Training details
A full fine-tune over a large licensed illustration corpus contributed by partner artists under a training agreement, aesthetic-scored and tag-captioned. No scraped booru dumps.
Procedure. A full fine-tune of wan 2.1 (not an adapter), fp16, multi-stage: a broad concept pass followed by an aesthetic refinement pass on a hand-scored subset. VAE was fine-tuned and baked into the checkpoint.
Bias, risks and limitations
- Very large checkpoint (~5.8 GB).
- Backgrounds simplify when more than two characters share a frame.
- Hands remain the usual anime weak point at low steps — a hand LoRA helps.
License & provenance
A full fine-tune on a licensed, artist-contributed illustration corpus. Purchasing the commercial offer ($249.00) grants a commercial redistribution license for outputs; the personal offer ($49.00) is for non-commercial use. The checkpoint may not be resold or re-uploaded, and merges must credit this model.
