About this workflow
Studio Product Auto-Composite
Drop in a product photo, get a clean cut-out composited onto studio backgrounds — batch-ready.
Studio Product Auto-Composite removes the background from a product shot, cleans the matte edge, and composites the product onto a set of studio backdrops (seamless white, gradient, and a soft-shadow surface) with a believable contact shadow. Built for e-commerce teams turning messy source photos into consistent catalogue frames at volume.
This is a workflow, not weights. You get a ComfyUI graph (
workflow.json) you import into your own tool. You supply the base models it calls — the value here is the wiring and the dialled-in parameters.

What it does
Runs automatic segmentation to matte the product, refines the edge (spill suppression + feather), generates a soft contact shadow from the mask, and composites onto three background presets in one pass. A batch loader lets you point it at a folder and process a whole catalogue.

Base models you must supply
- A segmentation model (SAM or rembg — the graph ships wired for both)
- Optional: an SDXL checkpoint if you enable the generative background variant
Inputs & outputs
| Inputs | one product image (or a folder for batch); background preset |
| Outputs | composited PNGs on each background preset, plus the transparent cut-out |
How to run
- Import
workflow.jsoninto ComfyUI. - Install the Impact, WAS and Custom-Scripts node packs.
- Place the SAM/rembg model where the loader expects it.
- Load a single image, or set the batch loader to your product folder.
- Pick background presets and queue.

Limitations
- Transparent and glass products need the edge-refine denoise raised by hand.
- Auto-shadow assumes a ground plane — floating/hanging products need the shadow group bypassed.
- Very fine detail (hair, wires, mesh) can lose strands at the matte edge.
License & provenance
Authored and tuned by the creator; ships as a plain workflow JSON. Purchasing the commercial offer ($99.00) grants a commercial redistribution license for outputs; the personal offer ($29.00) is for non-commercial use. The workflow graph may be used in your own projects but not resold or repackaged as a product.
